Kammie performed at the Christmas Tree lighting again this year. She was actually the only one of the girls to do it this year.
Kidz Praise has been a really fun experience for the girls this year.
It has helped them to be more disciplined and dedicated.
It has been a great ministry for the girls, performing for the seniors in the community.
They are looking forward to doing it again in the spring.

Thanksgiving Amber was very Thankful!!!

Amber and Alley were using my Pampered Chef cutter to cut the apples for our apple crisp.
Alley being silly.
I made Amber some new jammie bottoms and the girls wanted some too so after I went to Joanns for their Black Friday sale I made Alley and Sydney some too.
All the girls spent alot of time playing the Disney Channel online and Diner Dash.
Then all the girls had a great time playing dressup. Amber was so suprised to have her cousins come for Thanksgiving!!!

Fruit Stands---Gotta love 'em

We have decided that we are going to grow heirloom tomatoes next year in the garden. Each one is its own work of art.

The girls found a new favorite fruit. Bronx grapes!!! They are very sweet, and delicate. They remind me of having a kiwi taste to them.

Gardening

We grew a garden this year and our biggest producing item has been our zucchini plants. We have had an over abundance this year and have pretty much had some form of zucchini at every meal. We have made steamed zucchini, zucchini bread and zucchini cookies. YUM!!

Summer highlights!!!!

The biggest thrill happened right after Amber got home from vacation, she FINALLY got her braces off!!! YEAH!!!!
Yep, you guessed it we moved again!!! Just a local one this time, we moved on base.
The girls couldn't get enough of Amber when she got home. Jaylee needed to have lonely time with her.

We had a special pet this summer, his name was cream soda. He was with us for several weeks. What a neat learning experience!!Our bunnies Oreo and Ginger passed away this summer. It was a very sad time for the girls, but this picture was taken not long before they passed. Jaylee was teaching them how to play hide and seek and they were really AWESOME mommy couldn't find them until Jaylee helped me!!

We recently made a quick trip to see friends and family. We had a mad dash to see people since we were only in town alittle over 24 hours. Tamie and the girls met us for lunch at our favorite mexican food restaurant and if you know us you know where we are talking about!!
We definately had to see my grandpa and grandma and the girls had a great time visiting with them.

Something I read today...

I read this today while working on my bible study lesson. I thought I would share.

When we start talking about moods and emotions, we must begin with the heart. I guess you could say it's the heart of the matter! We call it the seat of our emotions, and we try to explain our feelings by referring to it. People can be described as hardhearted, softhearted, openhearted, warmhearted, coldhearted, fainthearted, or even heartless. Some people wear their heart on their sleeve. We know what it's like to lose heart, take heart, have our heart set on something, have a change of heart, and have our hearts skip a beat. We know what it's like to do something to our heart's content. We can be heavyhearted, halfhearted, or lighthearted.

A story can be heartwarming, heart wrenching, or heartening. We can share from our hearts, set our hearts on a thing, learn something by heart, have our hearts in the right place, and win the hearts of others. We have known heartache. We have been heartsick. Some days, we don't have the heart to face our work. Other days, we tackle the job heartily, going at it heart and soul. Those we love are always close to our hearts. We have pople who are dear toour hearts set our hearts at rest. We know the kinds of things that do a heart good. We have read God's Word and taken it to heart. We have given heartfelt thanks for blessings we receive. We know, in our heart of hearts, the right thing to do. And I hope from the bottom of my heart, you will follow after God with all your heart. Whew! How about a hearty Amen to that!

Asian cuisine

These fine delights were found on a cart inside a local restaurant on one of Jim's recent trips. After seeing this I am not sure that Oriental types of cuisine are my favorite anymore!!
I can't imagine paying money for something I could just as easily find outside on the ground.

An Hawaiian December

Well Jim recently got to spend some more time in Hawaii. I know, nearly a week on the beach with no wife and kids seems really rough, but it was. He couldn't even enjoy that beautiful warm water because they had jellyfish advisories.
Of course, he had a terrible hotel room. Could the views get any worse??? I guess they will someday when we actually get to go with him and have to pay for the hotel ourselves!!!
You know Jim and his need to capture every American Flag on film. This one is from Pearl Harbor. Someday I will get all of these pics in the album I bought for them. They will look sharp on that blue paper it came with.
Jim and the crew rented scooters and made their way up to Diamond Head. What a gorgeous place this must have been! With all the stairs though I don't know how so many older tourists make it to the top.
Jim thought these were some really cool plants and of course he had to pass them every day on his way to the shaved ice hut. Funny how he kept leaving that out when we talked to him on the phone!!UPDATE: The girls researched the flower and found out that it is called a Hanging Lobster Claw(Heliconia rostrata). These flowers are used during the Japanese Bon Festival.
